Instant Pot Spaghetti is the perfect easy dinner for a busy weeknight. Spaghetti and meat sauce all cooked in the Instant Pot in about 20 minutes!

Spaghetti is my go to easy meal when I don’t feel like cooking or when I can’t come up with any ideas for dinner. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it’s relatively inexpensive.
Using the Instant Pot makes spaghetti even easier! Everything is cooked in the Instant Pot so you aren’t using multiple pots and pans to cook everything which means less dishes!
It also cooks incredibly fast. I can get this on the table in about 20 minutes! The longest part is waiting for the instant pot to come up to pressure.
Serve it with these easy garlic crescent rolls for a quick and delicious dinner the whole family will love.

Ingredients
- Ground beef – you could use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef if you prefer. I like to use a lean ground beef (I used 93/7) but use whatever you have on hand – a fattier meat will probably need to be drained.
- Italian seasoning – if you don’t have Italian seasoning, use any mixture of basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and marjoram.
- Garlic powder – you could fresh garlic if you prefer.
- Onion powder – if you want to use fresh diced onion instead, cook it with the ground beef.
- Pasta sauce – use your favorite store-bought or homemade pasta sauce.
- Spaghetti – the spaghetti is going to have to be broken in half in order to fit in the Instant Pot.
- Water – I like to pour the water into the pasta sauce jar and give it a good shake, just to make sure to get every bit of pasta sauce out of it.

How To Make Instant Pot Spaghetti
- Cook ground beef. Using the saute function of the Instant Pot, cook ground beef. Turn off saute function when cooked through.
- Add seasonings. Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper.
- Add sauce. Stir in pasta sauce.
- Add spaghetti. Lay broken spaghetti on top of the meat sauce. Do not stir!
- Add water. Pour water over the spaghetti. Gently press down the spaghetti until covered by the water.
- Cook. Place the lid on the instant pot and make sure it’s sealed. Cook on high for 8 minutes.
What Size Instant Pot To Use
I used a 6 quart instant pot for Instant Pot Spaghetti.

How Long Is It Good For?
Spaghetti with meat sauce will be good for up to 3 days. Make sure to store it in an airtight container to keep it good for as long as possible.
You can reheat it in the microwave.
Can You Freeze It?
You can freeze leftover spaghetti for up to 3 months. Let it cool completely and then transfer to an airtight container and place in the freezer.
When you ready to serve it, let it defrost overnight in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.

Instant Pot Spaghetti

Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (24 ounce) jar pasta sauce
- 8 ounces spaghetti, broken in half
- 1 ¾ cups water
Instructions
- Turn on saute function of Instant Pot; add olive oil. Once oil is hot, add ground beef and cook, breaking it up as it cooks, until no pink remains. Drain if necessary. Turn off saute function.
- Stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and pasta sauce.
- Lay the halved spaghetti on top of the meat mixture.
- Pour the water over top. Do not stir! Make sure all the spaghetti is covered by the water. You can use a spatula to gently press the spaghetti down if necessary.
- Put the lid on the Instant Pot and check that it is sealed. Set it to cook on high for 8 minutes.
- After it's done, quick release the valve and turn off Instant Pot.
- Use tongs to toss the spaghetti together with the sauce.
- Serve hot.
