Easy and delicious Cheeseburger Fries are crispy French fries topped with ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, burger sauce, and all your favorite burger toppings!
We also have a Loaded Totchos recipe!
I love doing loaded fries for easy dinners. They are easy, customizable, and who doesn’t like fries with a bunch of stuff on top?!
These Cheeseburger Fries are loaded with everything you’d want on your burger. Ground beef, cheese, an easy homemade burger sauce, and all the toppings!
The best thing about this dinner is that in the time it takes to bake (or air fry) your fries, you can have the rest of the ingredients ready to go!
Ingredients
- Mayo – this is the base of your burger sauce.
- Ketchup – this is also going in the burger sauce. It gives it that red color and also adds sweetness and tanginess.
- Sweet pickle relish – for the burger sauce. You can use finely chopped sweet pickles if that’s what you have.
- Sugar – just a tiny bit to sweeten the burger sauce.
- White vinegar – you can also use apple cider vinegar. This adds a sour tanginess.
- Black pepper – the burger sauce needs just a hint of heat.
- Frozen fries – I used crinkle cut fries but you can use whatever cut you like. I don’t recommend the super skinny “fast food” fries because they won’t be able to hold the toppings.
- Ground beef – you can use ground turkey or chicken if you want to make it a bit lighter.
- Garlic powder and onion powder – to season the ground beef. We’re keeping it simple because there’s A LOT going on top of the beef.
- Cheddar cheese – I used mild cheddar cheese but if you have another cheese you like on burgers, use that!
- Lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, pickles – you can go as crazy as you want with the toppings. These are the ones we used but you could do literally anything.
How To Make Cheeseburger Fries

- Cook fries. Cook fries using your preferred method.
- Cook beef. Add ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, breaking up the beef, until no pink remains. Drain if necessary.
- Assemble. Put fries in an oven-proof dish. Top with ground beef and cheese.
- Melt cheese. Broil for just a couple minutes, until cheese has melted.
- Add toppings. Drizzle with the burger sauce. Sprinkle lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on top.
- Serve. Serve immediately.
How Long Are They Good For?
The assembled Cheeseburger Fries are best freshly prepared. You can reheat them but the fries are going to absorb the moisture for the rest of the ingredients the longer they sit so they probably won’t get crispy again.
The cooked ground beef is good for up to 3 days. So you can keep all the elements separate and assemble as you want them for up to 3 days.
